Mainly it seems very green, fresh, and spicy. Women check the cleanliness of men by the odor within the very first seconds. They like it if men smell clean, but not like a lemon. It was the only fragrance I wore until 1994 when my girlfriend bought me Dolce and Gabbana Pour Homme. I quite enjoyed it—and man has it changed too— but it took a backseat to Polo Green. I wore Polo for about 20 years but it just kept going through reformulations and it is now a watered down, quality stripped shell of the original. It’s Polo, but a cheap imitation of it.
This is a love from me and I believe that if you love greenness, nature and green, spicy, herbal, grassy fragrances generally, then you will love this. Definitely one to try and wear first. Still a great and unique smell even today.
I associate it with my dad which is why it feels like an ‘old’ fragrance, but it definitely is dated regardless of that association.
