If children between 5 and 7 are heavier or taller than average then it may be worth switching them to a larger BMX bike earlier. The instructions do not tell you that the handlebar has more than likely been assembled wrong and the left and right stickers may be placed on the wrong pedal. When it came down to deciding which bike was better and which bike I wanted to move on to the next round, I had to choose the Wethepeople Reason. Overall, the Reason scored higher in most of the different sections. That one singlewall rim can be mongoose bmx bike upgraded for a small price to make it WAY better quality than the Legion. I think the geometry of the reason is a lot more practical for 99% of BMX riders, and I think Wethepeople does a lot more for BMX and the BMX community than Mongoose.
The Wethepeople Reason only has one double wall rim in the back and a single wall rim in the front. While this may not be the end of the world, if you’re going to be spending almost $600 on a bike you should get one with two double wall rims since they’re going to last a lot longer. In celebration of its iconic Supergoose and California Special designs, Mongoose is resurrecting each bike as part of its upcoming Classics Collection. The former, based on the 1984 loop-tail frame, will be a near-perfect replica of the original. Assuming you’re after a frame with a bit more presence, however, the California Special should do just the ticket.
This seems to be better if the one you order arrives intact and you are able to follow the instructions. The instructions are not clear and having an Allen key is useful. Once assembled the bike looks good and allows children to get used to riding bikes.

A light bike is built to perform tricks and the inclusion of the lightweight thick and padded adjustable seat on an alloy post is a blessed benefit.
