Everytime I open up my closet all I can smell is this ? I am not complaining, but it is very strong. I don’t think I will get a full bottle because I smell it on so many people. I find it simple, but not boring and quite beautiful. The glass is quite heavy and looks beautiful displayed. The cap is a bit on the cheap feeling side, but doesn’t distact from the beauty of the bottle.
Very sweet upon initial spray, but also almost too-mature smelling. At initial spray, I did not like this. However, as it starts to dry down, I pick up more of the florals and less of the fruit, making it a little less overbearing. As it continues to dry down, you get more of a powdery, musky sweet vanilla and I like it much more in this stage.
The orange blossom slowly gives way to other floral scents including hints of jasmine and iris which push towards the top of the scent in its middle layer. As for Estee Lauder makeup the La vie est belle … it is much too strong for me. I sprayed lightly and it still was too strong an hours later so I washed it off prior to going on my errands.
It is sweet, powdery, reminds you of desserts and honey. Lasts very long into the day on the skin and forever on fabric. The initial spray is sweet and can feel overwhelming however give it 20 mins and it settles down on skin and clothes.
Now that I’m more into perfumes, I see that it was/is extremely popular and now deemed overhyped and generic. After a couple years of not wearing this, I’ve decided to try it again. Longevity is Estee Lauder NIGHT REPAIR great, and so is sillage, therefore please use lightly!! Don’t overspray as you’ll give someone a headache especially since this fragrance has a large amount of people who strongly dislike it.
