Unless you’re particularly concerned with getting the closest possible shave, you’ll probably be satisfied with the performance of the Series 5. You can squeeze more cleaning cycles out of them by using the station less often and performing a manual cleaning when Remington Shaver you’re not in a hurry. This will help you get more cleanings out of the cartridge before needing to be replaced. I personally do it every time as it takes only a few seconds. It works excellent for cleaning and sanitizing the shaver and also dries very fast.
It has an EasyClean system that lets you clean your shaver without needing to detach the head, making maintenance a piece of cake. The design of the storage unit with the cleaner isn’t the best. It’s Remington Shaver a little lop sided and unsightly in the bathroom, but can be stored in cabinet if you have a charging point. Depending on your Clean&Charge Station model and/or program selected, the cleaning time takes up to 3 minutes. It takes several hours until remaining moisture evaporates depending on the climatic conditions. So the 5018s should be better than your current shaver in that regard and quite a lot better than the slide-out trimmer on the 3040s which is in my opinion pretty bad. Considering that you’ll be using the trimmer most of the time and occasionally the actual shaving head, the new Series 5 looks like a good option.
