Robot Vacuum Cleaner

The “360” part suggests that the robot will follow in the 360 Eye’s rolling brush-steps by carrying a 360-degree vision system. The 360 Eye has a small camera on top and sensors on the sides. Choose High mode for powerful suction, Max mode for even deeper cleans, or Quiet mode for low-noise cleaning. Combines the 78,000rpm Dyson digital motor V2 with patented Radial Root Cyclone™ technology, for powerful suction.

We loved the ability to name each room, to define areas and restrictions on the map the robot generates, and the ability to schedule cleans. The body of the vacuum has a minimal user interface, with only a single button, so the vacuum must be controlled by the app. Our single biggest issue with this vacuum is its connectivity. We found that the Heurist’s connection to wi-fi is very poor, bissell crosswave cordless disconnecting itself every few minutes, which meant we couldn’t control it for periods of time. This can occur if the robot is picked up and placed in a different location, if lighting has changed significantly or if the robot cannot see enough features to orient itself by. Your robot will initially try to identify its location by cleaning areas close to its last known position.

As the 360 Heurist costs £799.99 in the UK, we’d expect the new robot vacuum cleaner to come in at a similar – or slightly higher – price point. In the US, we would anticipate a price point of $1,099.99 or more. As we’ve mentioned, this isn’t Dyson’s first robot vacuum, but it could be the first for the US. The 360 Hyperdymium follows up the previous models, the 360 Eye and 360 Heurist, except it’s flatter and wider. The design of those other models, the Verge explains, made them unsuitable for the typical American household, especially when it came to vacuuming under furniture. As first reported by the Verge, Dyson filed documents with the FCC that give a sneak peek at what may be the US’ first available Dyson robot vacuum cleaner.

It will take visual cues from the camera to create a map of the cleaning area. This map is then stored in memory as a roadmap guide for where it needs to clean. The 360 Eye also allows you to use Alexa commands to start cleaning, get status reports, and you can even find out more details about the features of the vacuum.

However, these tend to be more expensive than robot vacuums that employ a random route when cleaning your floors. It doesn’t take the same logical path around a home when cleaning as other more expensive Eufy models do. Sometimes it’ll go in straight lines and sometimes seek out the edges of a room, while on occasions it’ll travel in circles, which means it may take slightly longer to clean the whole room or floor. It wasn’t always that good at moving around objects – low-level things seemed to fox it the most, such as deep-pile rugs, piano pedals, and pet food bowls.

I mean, because it’s from Dyson you’d figure that it has lots of significant improvement over are the robot vacuum cleaners… Robot vacuums can offer a very impressive clean, even on thick carpets which makes them a good alternative to upright or other types of vacuums. They’ll be more convenient too as you can set them to work when you’re busy doing other things. The dust cups on robot vacuums are often smaller than you’d expect to find on a canister or an upright vacuum cleaner.
