Intex supplies the smallest possible pumps with its pools. While they can keep the water circulating, we didn’t think it kept our pool as clean as it could, so we upgraded to a bigger one. We still used an Intex brand, just more substantial, and it works great. You may want to consider upgrading before you even install the first pump.
While still available at a reasonable cost, Intex Metal Frame Pools are larger, providing more space for swimming, and are solidly constructed from high-grade, rust-resistant steel. Yet, even with their sturdier construction, Intex Prism Pools are still very easy to assemble and the installation process requires no tools. An automatic timer allowed us to turn on and off the pump each day. It also has a pressure gauge that we checked during filtration. If the pressure got too high, then we knew it is time to backwash the filter and clean out intex frame pool the sand. The filtration unit has six functions, including standard filtration, backwash, rinse, re-circulate, waste/drain, and closed. This versatility makes it easy to clean the pool, clean the sand, and drain the pool.
