Dji Mini 2 Features

Get the best value on product protection including fast repairs or replacements. It looks fine on smaller screens, but once you start editing your footage, you’ll immediately notice its drawbacks. Pixels become larger and footage loses its sharpness.

Make no mistake, however, there are very few outward differences between the drones, the changes are largely internal. If you place the two machines side-by-side, you’ll have to look for the differences. In the air, however, you’ll appreciate the extra performance, we immediately appreciated the addition of OcuSync 2.0, and the camera output. We also appreciate the upgrade to USB Type-C ports on the drone, remote and the Charging Hub.

You can also download DJI Assistant 2 on your computer, and connect the aircraft to the computer to start updating. Upgraded camera with 4K video. In still images, the quality of images taken in daylight is actually quite high. 12 MP is not all that much, and landscape photographers who make a living from their photos, would probably choose a drone with an even better camera. But even with 12 Mp from a relatively small image chip (1/2.3”), the still images are very sharp, with good detail sharpness.

The Fly More Combo includes a shoulder bag to carry the Mini 2 and extra gear to your shooting location, two additional flight batteries and more. The DJI Mini 2 and the DJI Mini SE are different enough that buying them should dji fly require some consideration. However, the Mini SE is hardly a major step down, as most first-time drone-fliers will get more than enough to fulfill their needs. This is a refurbished drone but came in original packaging.

If you carry it on the shoulder, like it’s probably suppose to, I’m sure it’s more than fine. If you are replacing the case and buying a different charger, the combo is probably not a great deal. While the Mini 1 battery will fit and allow the drone to fly it really dji drones is not meant for the Mini 2. I’d stick to the battery made for it for the best performance. I know reports said Mini 1 li-ion battery can be used with Mini 2 drone, did it turned out it’s fully compatible (it won’t move around in the drone or damage the pins)?

It’s a nice change of pace to my overall approach that I wasn’t expecting when I started my review. The camera still has the same, small 1/2.3-inch 12MP sensor as the original Mini, but it produces much nicer photos than before. JPGs that you get right off the drone are fantastic, and you can “enhance” them within the DJI app. It applies some subtle adjustments to the overall contrast of the image, lifts shadows, and adds a bit of life to overall colors. I appreciate how subtle and effective these adjustments are. And though it obviously has a worse camera than DJI’s bigger drones, it’s still a very good camera.

The combination of camera for the price, and the extremely compact size make this drone a winner. Just like the first generation Mavic Mini, the Mini 2 weighs in at 249 grams, or 0.548 lbs, so you do not need to register the Mini 2 with the FAA before you fly. Of course, the moment you add the prop guards, or a heavy decorative sticker, it may tick over and require registration.
