Keurig® K

Refillable Pods.If you are going to get a refillable pod, the ones that are one piece are much easier to use and much less likely to have a part go missing. For things like powdered hot chocolate and tea , it’s just as easy to heat water in a tea kettle. Start it and it makes coffee on its own — no standing watch to add more water to a drip cone or turn down a percolator. There’s been a lot of talk of late about the enormous waste of disposable single-use pods. While competitor Nespresso includes an envelope for you to return your used pods for recycling, Keurig does not.

Their machines are known to be reliable, long-lasting, and able to produce the perfect cup every single time. Because it uses the normal K-Cups, the Keurig Mini makes the same remarkable coffee that you would find in other larger models. Try adding ice to any hot-brewed coffee to make yourself a yummy iced beverage. The Keurig K-Slim has a similar price tag to the K-Mini Plus. However, the K-Slim’s water tank is a far larger 46oz, meaning you won’t need to refill it between each brew. On the other hand, the Hamilton Beach Plus only brews one cup of coffee at a time.

Plug the brewer back in, power on, and repeat the Step 3 Fresh Water Rinse cycle. The brewer should begin to function normally as the solution is rinsed out and the scale is removed. If problem persists, allow brewer to sit unplugged for at least 30 minutes before continuing with the rinse. You should descale your coffee maker on a regular basis to provide further longevity. You can download easy-to-follow directions here to descale your Keurig® mini.

A nice perk adding to the versatility of the K-Mini Plus is that it can accommodate full-size 12-ounce travel mugs, especially impressive given its overall tiny footprint. Before I dig into the details of the K-Mini Plus, you might be wondering how it differs from the K-Mini – and why it’s nearly twice the price. There are a few noteworthy differences between the two models, and in all honesty, we believe it’s worth paying for the upgraded Plus model.

Once the curved section has popped off, the lid will still be attached at the hinge section. Close the lid and pry along the back of the hinge section, pushing the lid top away from the water refill area until the lid pops off. The ribbon cable for the lid is glued in place and the lid can not be removed unless there is slack to pull.

This Keurig is definitely worth adding to your small kitchen appliance lineup. All other Keurig models look out, because the Keurig K-Supreme Plus is stealing all of your business. The K-Supreme Plus is basically the Keurig of the future. If ever there were a feature that you wish your old Keurig Cuisinart Coffee had, it’s pretty safe to say that the K-Supreme Plus has it. It’s hard to imagine any more pros than the ones the K-Supreme Plus has to offer. Thanks to the K-Classic’s auto-off feature, you never have to worry about your Keurig using unnecessary and wasteful amounts of electricity.

It will fit anywhere in the kitchen or even your desk at work. Cord storage keeps your coffee corner tidy, and since it’s much lighter than other Keurig models it’s easy to move around. Additionally, the used K-Cup storage and strong brew options in the K-Mini Plus are features you’ll probably want in a machine that is built for convenience. Those K-cups are hot, and your tender little hands don’t want to remove them one at a time. With the same footprint as the K-Mini but with those extra features, buy the K-Mini Plus. Yes, you can use ground coffee in both the k-slim and k mini models.

Basically, the K-Classic was made to make your morning easy peasy. Best of all, when it’s time to refill the reservoir, it’s removable so you can take it right over to your sink instead of having to bring the water to your Keurig. One feature I wish was included Hamilton Beach with this machine is a removable water reservoir for cleaning. Unfortunately, that’s not a thing, but at least it’s easy to reach. With its 12-ounce water reservoir, it’s capable of brewing a single cup of coffee at a time, which is great if that’s all you need.
