One drawback we discovered is the redundant power button. The Pro 80V is already equipped with a thumb safety, a chain brake, and a throttle, so another button to push before the saw is operable can become annoying as it detracts from productivity. Capable of housing 2 batteries that when one drains it automatically switches over and engages the second battery increasing runtime and saves the hassle of stopping and switching.

The quickness to full chain speed will surprise you if you are unfamiliar with cordless saws. There’s no side discharge option, just mulching and bagging. Here in Texas I almost exclusively mulch or bag, and run into very few people who side discharge. In my opinion, the missing side discharge isn’t a deal breaker.
