Weber Spirit Ii Black E

The plates are thin on one side for more delicate grilled veggies whereas the thick side is ideal for large steaks. One of the biggest advantages of the Weber Spirit II E-310 grill is its ten-year warranty which could make this worth the splurge. For those reasons and more, gas has become a popular fuel for outdoor cooking, as well as indoor.

I’ve always preached aboutthe importance of a good grill thermometer, and the iGrill 3 is one of the best you can get. Unsurprisingly, a lot of confusion can come up between the E210 and E310 models. Despite this, this is an exceptionally good grill, and the perfect entry point for grilling newcomers.

The 20-pound propane gas tank mounts to the outside of the grill underneath the storage arms. This makes it easy to remove and replace, but it’s not exactly aesthetically pleasing. It may seem like nitpicking, but the rest of the grill is so sleek that having the propane tank visible really draws the eye away from the cool elements of the grill. The Spirit line is more affordable and its models are generally smaller, making them easier to store. The Genesis line is packed with the latest features from Weber and has grills that are usually larger, allowing you to cook for more people, for slightly higher prices. The grill uses an open cart design with plenty of storage space beneath the main unit.

An electronic crossover ignition helps light the burners with the push of a button. Common to both Spirit and Spirit II, Weber grills come with some excellent wheels that make the movement of the grills smoother. One of the most distinct differences between the Spirit and Spirit II is in its cart design. While the Spirit comes in a cabinet design, the Spirit II is of an open-cart style.

These grills are rather large, so you’ll need to make sure you have enough counter space for them. If you want a grill you can take along with you, perhaps for a family reunion, you’ll want to stick with a model that’s around 4 pounds. Some models can even rest on a countertop, as they have removable legs. If you’ve ever owned a grill, you probably know how hard it is to find one that emits consistent heat across every square inch. You shouldn’t have to move your items around from the warm area to the hot area to make sure everything cooks. Some grills build in TRU Infrared technology to cook evenly across the entire surface.

It’s easy to use with uncomplicated controls that make grilling fun again. Features two sturdy and convenient side tables, one of which char broil performance can be easily folded down to make extra room. You may want more than a three-burner grill so going bigger could be a good idea.

I know I can always replace internals for both for decades to come. Even if Broilmaster/Empire Systems went belly up, generic H burners and ceramic briquettes will always be available as will igniters. Didn’t they DC some Spirit cabinet models a couple years ago only to reintroduce them? I think Weber has too many models right now and that leads to confusion. Earlier this year I replaced my Silver B with a Spirit E-330 because of the features, especially the sear station. I would have liked an open cabinet but it was not offered with those features.
