After using this machine you will want to press and hold the button that looks like a fan, just under the display, and it will begin a 30-second self-clean. You will still have to empty water tanks and clean brushes, but this does help along the way as it flushes out dirt, hair and debris from the appliance and brush roll. Once finished you’ll want to grab and empty both water tanks – be prepared for what you’ll find in the dirty tank – and with the dirty tank, remove the filter and clean it thoroughly. Then, take out the rotating brush bar and give it a good clean under your tap.
At the end of a clean, the CrossWave Cordless Max can be placed on its charging dock and the self-clean button hit to automatically clean the brush. You can then easily lift out the brush and stand it upright for drying. With the brush removed, you can wipe the floor head clean.
The first con of the Bissel Crosswave Max is one that I have been worried about since the beginning. I talked about the battery life in my first blog, and I will say, it takes a lot to get used dyson robot vacuum to. Now, I have experienced the vacuum more and expanded my thoughts. I then added a squirt of ketchup to see how well it cleaned it up and how well the self-cleaning system performed.
