Choose a coffee machine that fits your budget and has the features you need to enjoy your pot of coffee. The Cuisinart CPO-850, however, does the work for you yet still delivers the same great beverage. If you like to grind the beans right before you brew, the Cuisinart Grind & Brew Cuisinart Coffee is the best coffee maker for the task. It has a built-in grinder that after grinding, transfers the ground coffee directly into the filter. TWhen the grinder goes off in the morning, it’ll be loud enough to wake up anyone who’s still sleeping – even one floor above the kitchen.

There’s just less over-extraction overall since the coffee slowly cools even in an insulated carafe. On one side, you have your classic drip coffee maker, complete with a 12-cup glass carafe. It has all the controls you’d expect, including a brew strength control and a warming feature. The CHW-12 has a safety lock to Cuisinart Coffee prevent hot water from being accidentally dispensed. On this model, you can up the temperature of the coffee in the carafe, which is a handy feature if you’re one of those people who never thinks your coffee is hot enough. It’s a bit tricky to access the filter basket and the water tank when the lid is fully opened.

There’s also a 1-4 cup button that should be selected if brewing such quantities; it adjusts the process for better extraction and flavor. This model is best suited to households wanting coffee from freshly ground beans, without the hassle of getting out a separate grinder. But if you usually drink the whole carafe straight after brewing, you could save some money and get the model with the glass carafe instead. The $190.95 Cuisinart SS-20P1 is the stainless steel thermal carafe version of the SS-15P1, the focus of my Center review. There’s not a whole lot of difference between the two models, aside from the fact that the carafe is not made of glass. If you’re going to brew one cup at a time, using this little gadget is your best bet.

I don’t know if this qualifies as a different brew type; it’s still single serve and the same idea as Cuisinart’s HomeBarista reusable cup. There’s even the removable drip tray and two reservoirs, one for each side of the machine. As with most coffee makers nowadays, the Coffee Center has a brew program feature that allows you to set up your morning brew up to 24 hours in advance. To program it, you turn the dial to Prog, choose the time you’d like the machine to start and then switch it to Auto On. Continuing with the environmentally friendly theme, there’s also a reusable coffee filter. Imagine how good you’ll feel once you start reducing your paper waste!
