If you’re used to the empty soup tin hanging under the firebox, this will seem revolutionary. All these parts are high-end, featuring superior construction and functionality. They aren’t individually groundbreaking, but together they provide a noticeable step-up from your average gas grill, and even from lower-cost Weber barbecues. Unfortunately the Genesis failed this first attempt, requiring almost 4 hours for its probe to hit the magic number. Its skin was as leathery as a football and the flesh inside was watery, mushy and thoroughly unappetizing. I think this is an extremely useful addition since you can never have too much storage space in your grill. You can use this compartment to store your weber charcoal grill condiments, baking sheets, aluminum foil, or anything else that fits.
