Keurig K-Mini Plus Single Cup Coffee Maker, Black

Other than that, it’s affordable, it functions as intended and makes a basic cup of coffee for people in a hurry. Such is the case with the Cuisinart Coffee and the Keurig K-Mini Plus. As the Plus would indicate, the latter has a few more features that set it apart from its predecessor, but are those features something you need? For the quick convenience of a Keurig machine, especially a single-serve coffee maker, sometimes less is actually more. First-cup speedIndicates how quickly the machine produces the first cup of coffee. This also includes the time required to heat any internal water reservoir from room temperature.

Keurig coffee makers offer the right balance of practicality and convenience for those who don’t need all the bells and whistles of more expensive models. The Hamilton Beach retails for $59.99 in matte black or my favorite, Oasis blue. It seems like a refreshing color for a coffee machine.

It fits seamlessly under the spout to save you even more counter space. Anyone who has ever taken a stroll through the appliance section in any store knows the name Keurig. Keurig is known as a revolutionary brand dedicated to making a cup of coffee easy, simple, and quick to obtain. Co-creators John Sylvan and Peter Dragone began the company by experimenting with a single-serve coffee machine. I’ve had this for two months and it’s the best single serve coffee maker I’ve ever had. Maintaining the K-Mini relies on Keurig’s descaling solution, which you need to use every three to six months to clean your machine.

It’s also the noisiest Keurig machine we’ve tested, outputting 80 decibels of sound at the end of its brew cycle. Like all Keurigs, the heating cycle is low volume, but when it comes to brewing, its biggest noisemaker is the sputtering at the Cuisinart Coffee end of filling a cup. That loud spattering also manages to spray water around the machine and counter space. The only potential downside to the K-Mini’s design is that its water reservoir, located at the rear of the machine, isn’t removable.

Keurig K-Mini

Keurigs are big on convenience but not so great with control. There are no temperature or brew controls to speak of on this little machine, with only a power button and a brew button. Overall, the K Mini Plus is an excellent design from a well-trusted and beloved brand in the world of coffee. It’s the ideal solution for anyone who has minimal space, lives on their own, and just enjoys a good, old-fashioned cup of coffee. Place your mug under the spout, removing the drip tray if necessary.

You can grab one in black or make your K-Mini pop on the counter in pink, green, two shades of blue, red, or gray. When it comes to using the K-Mini Plus, you’d be hard-pressed to find a simpler coffee maker. A nice perk adding to the versatility of the K-Mini Plus is that it can accommodate full-size 12-ounce travel mugs, especially impressive given its overall tiny footprint. In this review, we’ll look at what you can and can’t expect from this simple brewer, and how it stacks up against its more affordable base model, the K-Mini. One of our favorite values, Keurig 2.0 K300 series brewers are a big jump up from their K200 counterparts with a 60 oz reservoir, Temp Control, and more. Now discontinued, we recommend the Keurig K-Duo instead.
