This Sunny Health & Fitness rowing machine is a game-changer

The Sunny Health & Fitness app received one star out of five. We’ll be honest, the classes lacked the energy we’ve come to expect from more premium brands like from Peloton and iFit. Plus, the instructors annoyingly told you to aim for certain cadences or resistance levels – which is impossible Costway Folding Treadmill on this bike as there is no cadence checker. I am very impressed with them, especially with Carlos from their technical team. The handlebars were damaged during shipment so I reached out to get a replacement. I was told a warranty claim would be processed and I’d receive a replacement part.

The stepper conveniently comes fully assembled — all you have to do is use the dial to adjust the resistance to your liking, then start stepping. It also comes with removable resistance bands that can be pulled up and down for an arm workout while you’re stepping. While I don’t use them often, they do offer a considerable extra challenge, especially for taller users (for context, I’m 5’7).

The heavy 49lb flywheel provides a smooth and quiet ride, while the manual resistance dial transitions easily between levels. I called them and they wanted me to try and fix it before I return it. I could not remove the entire Costway Folding Treadmill plastic cover because the screws were in tightly from the manufacturer. I was afraid to break the plastic cover and then I would not be able to return it. I called the company once again to tell them what was happening.

The shorter length means a shorter stride of just 15.5 inches, which isn’t ideal for tall people. This entry-level elliptical is a great option for certain people, but I wouldn’t say it is the best option for everyone. Take a look at who I think should purchase it and who is better off with a different elliptical cross trainer Costway Folding Treadmill machine. They finally contacted me in mid January, 2 full months after I sent a video/audio highlighting the bike issue. They said they would be sending out replacement parts within 1-4 weeks, and would notify me when the parts shipped. How does a company that has absolutely NO customer service stay in business???

Customer service person said could not find in the system and would send to techs. Watched some videos and self-diagnosed that lower control board needs to be replaced. With each use, I felt my arm and back muscles getting stronger, and my legs always felt the burn as I was rowing. And while I love getting a serious workout in, this is also an extremely relaxing yet productive way to take breaks during long work-from-home days. The SF T4400 scored well for its relatively low noise level. While it isn’t silent by any means, the 2.2 HP motor is quieter than most.

For many shoppers, however, the very limited warranty from Sunny Health & Fitness — just 90 days on parts! Unlike a stair machine you’d use at the gym, this mini stepper is powered by your body weight, though it does have a battery-powered LED screen that logs your steps, time, speed, and calories burned. Shoppers say after a few minutes, they can especially feel the burn in their thighs and glutes, but the attached resistance bands make it possible to get an arm workout in at the same time.

The bike is sturdy—once you get it adjusted properly so it doesn’t wobble when you’re out of the saddle. This is much faster — and much cheaper — than the Peloton bike and MYX Fitness bikes . It lacks a lot of bells and whistles, but the Sunny Health & Fitness Bike is good for someone looking for a basic indoor cycling experience. This bike is effectively a studio spin bike, so if you’re familiar with them from the gym, you will feel at ease with this machine, too. Our other big complaint is that the seat is quite hard for longer rides. Even after using the bike for a month, we still found it rather uncomfortable.

Magnetic resistance usually means the elliptical will be quieter when in use. I personally appreciate when the cardio machine I’m using is silent, so I would say it is indeed a good thing. A fun extra is the hand pulse monitoring system on the static handlebars. I like the option to quickly check my pulse while I’m working out.

It is quite basic compared to the more expensive competition, but we found it to provide quality exercise at a fraction of the price. It has a top speed of 9 mph and a tread surface of 49″ x 15.5″, and consequently, we found it best for shorter strides and more casual workouts. It has 3 positions of manual incline adjustment, a 220-pound weight limit, and the tread deck folds up to save space when not in use. It has a small digital display and intuitive controls including handrail buttons that make it quite easy to use. It’s nothing fancy, but we feel it is a solid option for less frequent users or lighter workouts that won’t break the bank.
