Weber Q 3200 Gas Grill

Other features include a thermometer built into the hood and two Q-shaped burners instead of one. Either of these grills would be great for those that don’t have the room for a full-size grill but still want the feel of a full-sized gas barbecue. Both of the 3200 models include folding side tables for storage in tight areas. They both accept both the 14.1oz and 16.4oz disposable propane bottles.

As with most of these, you do have to be wary of them – they tend to be off by a few degrees in either direction. You will have no problem getting up to 500 Fahrenheit degrees, something that you can expect with larger grills. Thus, you can easily tackle all kinds of meat and can even give searing a try. Last, but certainly, not least there is the stainless steel burner that offers both quality as well as power. At the same time, the structure ensures stability – even with the additional weight of food. My experience with both of these grills has been excellent. I don’t use them much anymore because I’m always testing new portable grills, but let me expand on that. The Q1000 Series is lighter and more compact, while the Q2000 series has more grilling space and a taller lid. You will find a model in each series that has a built-in thermometer and folding side tables.

It seems that the handle above the regulator is not quite in the right spot, and it can be challenging to attach a 16.4oz propane bottle to it. Weber suggests lifting the grill up by the right side handle to connect the cylinder at a bit of an angle. Modifying the handle by grinding or filing out a bit for extra clearance will void your warranty. After you have finished cooking for the day, let the grill cool off enough to handle the grates. Remove the grease tray and dispose of the liner and its contents appropriately.

Below is a comparison table of all current weber genesis 2 models. The series contains eight different models that come in different sizes with various features and include liquid propane, natural gas, and electric models. Choose from small, bare-bones models or full-sized models with all of the bells and whistles. Naturally, the Weber Q 2200 is meant to be portable, so its small cooking space isn’t too surprising. Despite this, I wouldn’t say that the grilling space is overly compact. This is because you have enough room for 12 burgers or a few more hot dogs at one time on the cooking grates.

It is also really easy to use and a lot of fun to work with as well. This portable grill is far from cheap but I would argue that you are investing in the Weber brand and this is certainly worth the extra cash. It isn’t just about the features and how well the grill works – just take a look at the quality of the components. And, when you compare it to other portable grills in its class, this is definitely the heftier option. The Weber Q electric grills are a little more expensive than their propane counterparts. The Weber Q2400is priced somewhere around $300 to $350.

The biggest complaint from negative reviews was about how hot the grill was, and in some cases, how hot it wasn’t. I would guess that most of these people had regulator issues, and in many cases, could easily be solved by contacting Weber’s customer service center. The grill grates are cast iron and are more plate-like where they cover the burner.

While it doesn’t mean that ribs and similar foods are of the table, it can make it trickier to cook them. After all, grilling on a lower temperature doesn’t have nearly the same effect. The biggest issue here would be with the fact that there is only one burner. Now, given the size of the model this isn’t too surprising, but it does create a small issue when it comes to indirect cooking. I have to say, overall, I was impressed with what a good cooking performance the Weber Q 2200 offers up. Although it has a few limitations that you wouldn’t necessarily find with a whole grill, I did enjoy grilling on it.

The Q line of grills still have all of the same features, the same specifications and most importantly, they all operate the same and produce the same results. One of the major selling points of this grill is its two fold-out side tables, which are each 12.5 x 13.5 inches. They’re the perfect spot to place a plate, condiments, and grilling tools, and I used them pretty much every time I grilled. Webers are not cheap, but when you consider that they last decades, the price is easy to justify.

After a quick read through of the manual, even first timers shouldn’t have too much trouble figuring how it works. The stand has a tank screen to keep the bottle from view. I think that’s quite handy, as it also protects from the elements, meaning your propane tank won’t rust out if you live in more humid areas.
