The SyncCook feature is also an easy shortcut to use when using both baskets to make the same recipe. The crispy chicken recipe provided instant vortex with the appliance came out soggy and underwhelming. It’s easy to get intimidated by appliances that have touch screens instead of traditional buttons; they often make navigation more complicated. This model also has a stainless steel exterior, which makes for a sleeker look, and dishwasher-safe accessories.

Because the front corners are slightly different than the back corners in the basket, the tray has handy directional arrows which line up with the back of the basket. Additionally, it has strong rubber feet at the corners which work great on our clean, dry kitchen counter surface. We looked at the top Air Fryers and dug through the reviews from some of the most popular review sites. Through this analysis, we’ve determined the best Air Fryer you should buy.

Truthfully, we’ve never contacted Instant™ support for this air fryer because it has not given us issues. There are a few things that we have found didn’t work out as well in the air fryer – or at least in this air fryer. We also made a frozen chicken breast and it turned out the same, just with slightly longer cooking time. Some – like this 8-quart Vortex® – have dual-zone, meaning you can cook two different things in different temperature zones for different times. With a larger capacity, this might be ideal for a larger family than ours (two people). This means that we might miss the commands of the air fryer but we are attentive people when we air fry so this has never been an issue.

Don’t forget to consider the fryer’s overall size, too—more capacity might mean that it needs more storage space when it’s not in use. Fans of multifunctional kitchen appliances will want to check out this air fryer option from Instant Pot. It comes with two lids—one for air frying and one for pressure cooking—that instant vortex enable the pot to function as both an air fryer and the classic pressure cooker the brand is known for. Instant Pot has so many different models that it’s hard to remember the differences, but this one stands out from the crowd thanks to its sleek black exterior, and its handy vent/pressure toggle.

We have made many frozen foods in our Vortex® and they have all pretty much turned out perfectly. There is a Instant™ Vortex® Plus 4-quart Air Fryer which is much more comparable to the regular Ninja 4qt Air Fryer. Because it’s a “Plus” it has dehydrate and broil as standard settings. Instant™ has a number of 8-quart, 9-quart, and 10-quart Vortex® Air fryers.

There are many all-in-one-type air fryers on the market today that can toast, bake, roast, dehydrate, and more. If those added functions can replace another small appliance in your kitchen, it may be worth additional cost. When it comes to air fryers, there are basic models and ones with all the bells and whistles, but a fancy one won’t do you any good if its complicated interface detracts from its convenience. Many have preset programs that allow you to whip up a batch of fries, bake cornbread, or roast veggies with one touch of a button. There are also analog and digital models to choose from as well as models with smart functions and access to an app full of recipes.

Keen to put the Instant Vortex Plus through its paces, we trialled it over the course of a month to prepare a range of everyday foods. Get the best value on product protection including fast repairs or replacements.

The components and parts feel good quality, adding to the overall value for money with this product. This dual-drawer air fryer stood out for a number of reasons but predominantly for the design features that make it enjoyably easy to use. Both drawers have interior lights that mean ingredients can be checked without opening the drawers and losing the heat inside. You can see how these air fryers performed side-by-side in cooking, design, and functionality in our head-to-head comparison post (coming soon). Not because the air fryer did a bad job – the florets have those little “buds” which can crisp and burn faster than the stalk if you aren’t careful about your cooking time and temp. Instant™ also has a 10-quart oven-style air fryer which looks similar to our Vortex® but is fundamentally different.
