Razor was the first US brand to receive the UL 2272 listing for safety, ensuring Hovertrax hoverboard meets or exceeds the highest electrical system safety standards. What may ultimately happen is, as with the smartphone patent wars, Razor and Segway may cross-license their patents to each other, to permit each to manufacture hoverboards. But the prices will remain high and the incentive to innovate diluted because other competitors will still face patent threats from Razor and Segway. And this may be why you can’t find Razor or Segway products anywhere—or those of pirates. Moreover, its off-road performance is superb as it can go through all sorts of terrain whether they’re mud, sand, grass or gravel. LiFePO4 (Lithium Iron Phosphate) is a newer type of lithium-ion battery that is considered to be much safer than the standard lithium-ion batteries used in hoverboards. Currently, Swagtron is the only brand to be using LiFePO4 batteries in their hoverboards. Despite the razor scooter higher cost of these safer batteries, Swagtron has worked hard to keep the prices of their hoverboards affordable. The Falcon is different from other hoverboard go carts as it includes a fog blaster with LED lights and sounds that attaches to the back of the kart.
