Cuisinart SSB1U Soup Maker Review

Within about a 40 minute time frame (from start to finish), I had an incredibly flavorful and unbelievably silky smooth Spiced Carrot Soup that would be luscious enough to serve to company. It was garnished with crispy Prosciutto, a dollop of Greek Yogurt and some snipped cilantro. The Scotch broth was thoroughly cooked, including the pearl barley, after about half an hour. After a quick blitz on level 2 – levels 3 and 4 are deactivated if the contents are over 60 degrees C – the soup was consistently creamy but still retained some texture and bite.

Dump some cans of stuff together and simmer. But my husband got me this Cuisinart for Christmas because he thought the concept was awesome. So I smiled and said Thanks and had him put it on the counter. A couple of weeks later I felt like I should use it. None of the soups in the book it came with appealed to me.

We have all the famous ones including an air fryer, 2 electric pressure cookers, blender, 2 slow cookers, a bread maker, ice cream maker and of course a soup maker. Having tested a wide range, I’ve found them to be incredibly easy to use, and results are consistently excellent. I’d suggest starting off with recipes from the provided booklets (which all good soup makers should provide), to get a feel for the device, before doing your own thing. Some soup makers, generally the cheaper type, look a bit like kettles, while the pricier ones, usually made of glass, bear a closer resemblance to a traditional blender. Generally, the basic, metal models are fairly light, while a more high-tech device will be heavier.

You can cook homemade soups from start to finish or blend up your favorite smoothie with this innovation exclusively by Cuisinart. The built in nonstick heater plate provides the perfect surface to sauté ingredients, simmer or boil soups, and with a touch of a button blend it all to a perfect consistency. Crush ice and blend everything from smoothies to frozen cocktails. Cuisinart’s soup makers are like regular blenders – with a heating function! This means they can do everything a well-built regular blender can, whether it’s whipping up smoothies or crushing ice – plus more. From vegetable soups to spicy sauces, hot dishes are cooked and blended to perfection with Cuisinart cook-and-blend soup makers’ razor-sharp blades and built-in heating element.

Your question will be answered by a store representative or other customers. We have no data (and thus no recommendations) cuisinart griddler elite for this price type. Overall, a no-nonsense, affordable device that doesn’t fail to deliver top results.

Once you are done, you can store the goblet in the fridge, and it can even ‘self clean’ – just heat it up with some soapy water and switch on the blender for a few moments. It’s perfect for cold drinks too, with ice crushing blades, you can use it all year round. Unlike some soup makers, the Cuisinart is see-through, so you can stay on top of what’s going on in the pot.

Size-wise, they’re analogous to blenders, though some can be a bit bigger. Around 1.2 to 1.6 litres tends to be capacity, so opt for a bigger model if you’re making dinner for a family; smaller if going solo. The Soup Maker has a wealth of inspired cuisinart pots and pans set design features that mean making soup is easy as well as safe. As you can’t blend while heating like many soup makers which offer a smooth setting, it does mean you need to chop vegetables well to ensure you end up with a smooth consistency.
