Turning in the opposite direction sets the oven to stay on. We usually chose that option and checked the doneness of the food as it cooked, sometimes setting another timer to warn us when to peek at the food. This toaster has two knobs that control it, with one to set the temperature and the other to set the time. The print surrounding the two knobs is black on the silver surface of the toaster. While that should have offered enough contrast to read, sometimes we had to get close or approach at a different angle to see the settings clearly on the reflective surface. This oven has only two heating elements, one on top and one on the bottom.

The baking tray cleaned easily enough, but it also started to discolor in places. We didn’t want to scrub too hard or use harsh cleaners that could damage the pan’s surface, so we’ll just assume that the pan isn’t going to look pristine. For easier cleaning, the rack and air fryer basket are dishwasher safe, while the baking pan and crumb tray should be washed by hand. We look for a crumb tray that slides out smoothly and that is easily accessible. We look for areas that might trap dirt or food stuffs.
And their complaint website does not let anything be submitted – perfect way to get no complaints. Three grocery store English muffins, cut in half to make six pieces, fit black decker toasters into the toaster but it was a bit of a tight fit. Again, the toasting was even enough that we didn’t feel like we needed to move the pieces around to get an even toast.

This is a compact little oven that won’t take too much counter space, while it also looks nice enough to leave out on the counter to make toast every morning.
Like most top-notch toaster ovens, this Black+Decker model is straightforward to clean. The rack and removable crumb tray are both easy to pull out and rinse if needed. The included baking pan is also a breeze to wash by hand, and the nonstick interior wipes clean with no problem. These days, many of the best toaster ovens are designed to function as a miniature oven, capable of everything from toasting and baking to air frying and dehydrating—and their cost reflects that. But what if you just want a toaster oven that covers the basics? Or you don’t want to spend the equivalent of a smartwatch on a countertop appliance?

It’s perfect for quick, tasty eats without heating up a large oven. This product was obviously designed by someone who has never made a piece of toast in his life. No matter how little time the dial is turned to, it burns everything. The rack positions ensure that at least one side will not toast or will burn because it is not possible to position the toasted item in the middle. And now I see from other reviews the glass for may explode.
