Skip Hess went on to develop the Electra brand, but he stepped down in 2014 when it was sold to Trek. When I think of the old mongoose from my childhood, I think of those huge circle gussets, odd square section, and loop tails and the dull nickel chrome finish. But both genre are aging, I don’t see any young people here in the museum, seriously, I think everyone here is over the age 40..
