I Tested the Ozark Trail 10-Person Cabin Tent Review

Space matters if you are a standard group of four people or a larger 12-person group. You want to ensure enough headroom while the tent keeps a low profile in any space you want to set it in. Comfort is another essential feature so you can sleep under a shaded tent, lay the sleeping bags or bed on a mud-proof tent floor, and stay safe from pesky bugs. You can have all the safety and comfort you need while camping outside with a group of six people thanks to the Ozark Trail 6-Person ConnectEnt. Your entire group will be sheltered under this 100-square-foot tent, which comfortably holds two queen air beds or up to six sleeping bags.

Ozark Trail makes an affordable quality family tent, and this 10-person instant cabin tent is no different. The tent also has cathedral ceilings with a nine-foot center height that allow easy movement across the space without bending over. The Ozark Trail Canopies tent incorporates seam tape on the lower walls for additional weather protection. When you’re finished using the tent, you can quickly and easily fold it into a small package for storage and transportation, then take it in your duffel bag.

My other tents with similar designs did not have this serious of a snagging problem. There was no info provided by Ozark Trail on the material of the flooring, but it feels like your regular polyethylene bathtub flooring, and doesn’t seem very thick. I forgot to measure the height of the bathtub flooring, but I think it’s about 5 inches. I don’t think this Ozark Trail 10-Person Tent will do very well against strong winds. The Ozark Trail 10-Person Tent also comes with a room divider, so you can split the tent into 2 rooms, and each “room” can fit 2 queen-sized camping mattresses. This Ozark Trail 10-Person Tent can accommodate 10 single sleeping pads or sleeping bags, and here’s what having 10 pads in this 10-person tent looks like.

Certain tent brands make easy setup a priority, and Ozark Trail is definitely one of them. Ozark Trail instant tents set up within seconds, and even the regular models won’t give you a headache. Our favorite for easy setup is the Ozark Trail 8-Person Instant Cabin Tent with LED Lighted Poles and Bluetooth Speaker. Like the 12 person tent, it also comes with a T-style door, so you can move camping gear and furniture without having to fangle it through a small, D-style door. Cabin-style straight wall tent designs provide more lateral space, sure, but a dome tent is better against the wind.

My personal favorite is the 12-person, 3-room instant cabin tent. It provides a ton of space in an easy-to-carry package that sets up in minutes AND provides three rooms that give the entire gang loads of space to spread out. For cons, there’s only 1 door in the entire 10-person tent, there’s almost no ventilation at all when it’s raining, and it also leaks within just 15 minutes of light rain. The mattresses that I used in the picture above are slightly smaller than queen size, but almost queen-sized, give or take a couple of inches.

Ozark trail tents offer versatile capacity options in terms of quality, affordability, ease of use, and durability. At the D-shaped entrance of the tent, there is a built-in mud pad that helps keep your tent free of dirt and debris. Additionally, a footlocker beside the entryway can be used from both inside and outside. This tent has a seam-taped rainfly that keeps you dry and protected from rainstorms. When you roll back the rainfly, you get more ventilation and can use it as a protective canopy over the entryway.

The other divider, made of silver-coated fabric, can also be used as a movie screen. You receive two strings of hanging LED lights to provide lighting within the tent to keep you from the dark. Additionally, it has an E-port for charging all of your electronic Ozark Trail Camping Chairs devices. Tent brands usually make the same decisions across all their tents. They form the corners the same way and attach everything the same way, too. If they get it right with one tent, it’s likely all of their tents have great weather protection.

The 3 roof poles are made of fiberglass, which are a bit more flexible. I wouldn’t recommend putting this 10-person tent up on your own though, because Ozark Trail Canopies it’s quite difficult to get the roof to prop up by yourself. Sometimes I worry that these fiberglass poles will break, because they’re not that sturdy.

Compared to competitors like Core and Coleman, Ozark Trail’s weather protection isn’t as solid. On top of that, all of their tents are affordable, come with an electrical cord port, and set up in minutes. They might not be great for winter camping, and they’re not rated for hurricane-force rains, but they will give you a great camping experience in fairer weather. Ozark Trail tents are competitive with CORE and Coleman Tents, but in our opinion ultimately fall a little short of both brands in quality and consistency.

The 2-in-1 Ozark Trail 7-Person, The adaptable Screenhouse ConnecTent, is ideal for seven people. The two doors on this tent make it easy for everyone to enter and escape without being packed in. This tent has six extra-large windows for increased ventilation and breathability, and it provides 360-degree vision inside so you can enjoy the scenery outside. You may always zip the windows back if you require more privacy and cover. Additionally, you can gain more quiet time with two room dividers and boost the amount of space by dividing the tent into three distinct areas using one divider.
