This 20-Person Tent Has Sleeping Rooms, So Everyone in Your Family Will Be Comfortable

The only place I put up the tent was in the backyard. We must have had some wind but not tornado force/ hurricane force winds. I just wish who I need to contact to get a new tent shell and two end poles that are made of sturdy material would contact me and make good of it. I called North Pole (the makers of ozark trail tents) not to get much help! Rather than continuing to wait for the company to come up with a soulution and stop questioning me on proper use or abusive weather conditions!

With a 1-person tent, that doesn’t really make as much sense. After all, I was carrying the whole thing and so it ozark trail sleeping bag might as well be connected. Essentially, the rain fly for the Ozark Trail was integrated into the tent directly.

I think I will go shopping this week for another tent that I feel better about. Otherwise I like the tent but do not trust it to hold up in severe conditions. This Ozark Trail Base Camp 14-Person Cabin Tent Review is about one of the largest cabin-type family camping tents on the market, with 4 separate rooms and 12 windows.

There are many upsides to going camping— the fresh air, the sense of freedom, the disconnect from technology, just to name a few. That doesn’t have to be the case though, thanks to Ozark Trail. Its 20-person tent will make the whole sleeping-outdoors-thing more comfortable.

Daughter did manage to get a lot of tent trapped in one zip at one stage and after 10 minutes of cursing I had the material out of the zip but the teeth were ‘offset’. Completely opening then closing the zip (again as per instructions) recovered everything as per new though. Note that unlike other tents, here you have built-in dividers that fully close the walls. So they are sewn-in to the walls and have central zippers for complete privacy. ♦ The packed size is surprisingly good for such a big tent.

There is no indication about waterproofness rating, but seams are taped and the tent is built to be waterproof. All the windows and the doors are double-layer, with mesh and with panels for protection. Because of all these features, you will see this tent mentioned in my separate text about best family tents for hot weather camping.

You could fit 7 sleeping bags, but not 7 bodies and their accessories. For families, I think approximately two adults and three kids is about as much as you would want at one time, and even that might be pushing it. As stated above, durability and materials are the main pain point of Ozark Trail tents. The fabrics are often thinner and less technical (regular polyester rather than ripstop, etc.), and the poles are pretty much always made from cost-saving materials like fiberglass and thin steel alloy. Despite what you may have read, you can absolutely enjoy an outdoors experience in an Ozark Trail tent.

Despite this, you won’t find anything at this price point with as roomy of an interior, both in terms of the floor and overhead. The tent stands at a factory measured 92 inches tall, so no one should have to duck while standing inside, with rare exception. The floor is a measured 105 ft², and with that much internal room, the shelter is perfect for alternative uses such as a changing area or a place to get some shade during a festival or something. We had the chance to try out Ozark Trail’s 7 Person Teepee.

I did not use any seam sealer or waterproofing on it at all. It has been up now for two weeks in the back yard and through wind and raining has done very well. I’m curious if the other reviewers put on the blue top, or just had a few defective tents.

True, I wasn’t able to remove the rain fly to watch the stars or let the wind ventilate my tent, but I was able to enjoy the day hikes without any sort of worry. In essence, I had committed to the permanent rainfly option by default and there was a certain contentedness that came with that. Now let’s get down to what is most important to me… Despite planning around the weather forecast we got pounded with rain storms during our 3 day stay. I am glad to report that after heavy rains with some sunny breaks (too few to mention) the tent held up well. No, I did seal all the seams and then went over tent, seams and fly with silicon water-guard made by Atsko which I bought at Walmart for about 3 bucks per can…
