Ewg Skin Deep®

This is a very “pink” fragrance to me, and not just because the juice is pink. I literally do see pink during the initial seconds of spraying La Vie Est Belle Intensement. (I’ve been diagnosed as having synesthesia, so I don’t find this alarming.) There are a few fragrances that cause this particular materialization of color, but this one really makes this happen. Suddenly I am snuggling in the arms of a big pink teddy bear, whose soft pelt is scented with this delectable concoction. LVEB Intensement conjures the same realm summoned by Dior’s Poison Girl EDP, Jean Paul Gaultier’s La Belle, and Lancome’s La Nuit Tresor Nude. It’s a realm of safeness and serenity, where you can forget your worries and just bask in the timeless sweet moment.

Lancome

Originally a fragrance house, Lancôme was founded by Frenchman Armand Petitjean 1935. It all began with five perfumes, which were so successful, he quickly Estee Lauder makeup moved on to skincare. The first ever skincare product was created in 1936, a multi-tasking repair cream called Nutrix, and it is still available today.

I am for sure buying a bottle next time I go to the department store. Okay I’m rewriting a review on this after spending more time with it. This is very different from the Estee Lauder makeup original. That said, I am surprised this that isn’t super fruity to me! In the opening I get a syrupy raspberry blast, but that’s pretty much the only “red” note I get.

Girl next door scent or a bride/formal event. Pretty powdery but not in a baby powder way. It’s blended beautifully and feels mature but also girly. It’s really lovely if you like powerdy make up type scents. I can instantly feel the base notes of iris-sandalwood, clean patchouli with the vanilla-raspberry top. It’s certainly not something out of this world or outstanding but I definitely appreciate modern crowd pleasers bothering with some good quality powdery notes and a robust balsamic base.

The future of beauty retail will be shaped to supplement the consumer’s shopping journey in the comfort of their own homes. Here, Lancôme debuts its first-ever virtual pop-up in Singapore, blending in education, Lancome makeup virtual consultations, and contactless samples. Leave it to the mega-influencer to successfully launch a beauty brand in the middle of a global pandemic. Here’s what happened this week in the metaverse.
