This Ozark Trail tent fits 10 people for under $100

This is the tent you’ll want to pack if you hate struggling with poles or complex tent frame systems. It’s designed to be easy to set up, and you’ll find it’s a pretty user-friendly tent right out of the bag. After a few trips, you’ll get it down to an art form and have the tent set up in a matter of minutes. The hub design makes setting the tent up very quick—you’ll be ready to camp in under 5 minutes!

The CORE tent is comfortable, originally made to sleep 9 people, there is plenty of space for 8. The back private space is the coolest and most stand-out feature, as it’s hidden from the front and doesn’t add extra bulk when you pack it down. The canopy at the front makes for hassle-free relaxation time, protected ozark tent from the sun. Something important to note is that the back-room section is not part of the instant set up. Since it’s somewhat of a hybrid structure, you need to manually insert 2 extra poles into the sleeve to raise it off the ground. You can block it off with the zipper door that fully closes it away.

With such a crowded market of instant cabins, we need to discover if this truly stands out from the others. Even the heaviest shower tents are light enough to carry a short distance without too much effort. He also loves fiction writing, and has even done some game writing in a couple of small mobile games, although he doesn’t like to mention it or anything . Their tents are either going to be high value for money or a complete waste of money, in my opinion of course. I want to find the biggest differences between these brands so you know what to expect when shopping for a tent for your next outdoor adventure.

Note that dividers are sewn in, so this is a bug-proof design and they completely close the space between the rooms. The inner doors between the rooms are with mesh plus panel, so you can use any variant, panels for privacy and mesh when you want more airflow and ventilation. Yet another essential feature is that the tent is freestanding, as typical for instant tents, so in principle, you can pitch it on any terrain.

Setup isn’t exactly instant (you’ll spend minutes pitching this bad boy), but it’s a simple, straightforward design you can love. It’s a truly durable tent, too, made from 68D coated polyester fabric and features a rainfly to maximize waterproofing. Plus, the 6” tub floor protects against water seeping in from beneath you, and the factory-sealed seams stop leaks and drips.

It worked well that night and I got some rain in but nothing serious. Now a few years later I erected it in the backyard just for fun. They claim they are weather tested, but I feel they don’t include rain or wind as elements of the weather.

I could make a better shelter out of cardboard boxes and scotchgard.

The design change I want to comment on concerns the little “laundry room” that protrudes out the back of the tent. The short pole supplied for that protrusion splintered in two places and poked about four small holes in the black fabric of the laundry bubble. Better instructions on how it should be installed would have prevented the splintering, but I would rather have seen the “laundry room” not be an outside protrusion from the back of the tent. Rather it should have been a large pocket on the inside of the tent that requires no pole at all. I called North Pole (the makers of Ozark Trail tents) not to get much help! Rather than continuing to wait for the company to come up with a soulution and stop questioning me on proper use or abusive weather conditions!

But this brand isn’t perfect, as with camping gear, you do often get what you pay for. This is a 1 – 1.5 seasons tent, essentially a summer camping type tent to be used in mild conditions and without much rain. So don’t be fooled by statements which you can see at some places ozark trail canopy that this is a tent for all seasons, it is not. For family camping, this is a tent for parents and up to 5 kids. The 7 large windows allow you to enjoy the views and keep the air flowing through your tent, but you can zip it up nice and tight against the cold and wind.
