Worked Better then expected and can even turn on the ac from the car before we get home to cool down the room for bed time. Bought another unit this year for our master bedroom even though our prior ac still worked. I just wanted the same convenience for our room to control the temp.

Yes it does so reasonably well, but the odd thing is the coolest setting is only 17° Celsius. Our other AC goes way colder so you can really ice down a room. The Arctic King with such a cap takes a bit longer to ice a room down and even then I suspect in a really hot climate it might struggle to fully cool a room 350 to 450 sq. While I like living in a place that isn’t too hot, the problem is most houses don’ have central air.
