And every time you move your feet you get to hear the crinkle of the fabric on the bottom. This is a great summer sleeping bag that is lightweight and easy to carry. This sleeping bag does not unzip all the way around and cannot be connected to other ozark trail chair sleeping bags. However, this depends on the insulation material used to ensure you read the washing instructions.

This was much better and I wouldn’t mind sleeping in it all night like that. For both tests I folded the zipper under me to keep a draft from coming in through it and had the drawstring cinched down. The zipper is light weight and gets hung up, but really what do you expect for the money the material feel good, it’s a quality sleeping bag.

They are also fitted with a no-snag zipper so you do not have to worry about the zipper snapping on you. Coleman has been in the camping industry for years. I nearly froze to death on the trail, and craftsmanship is garbage (to put it mildly). So far, I’m convinced that this would be a great summer, maybe spring and fall, bag for someone on a financial and weight budget. The 40F rating is pretty optimistic, ozark trail tents but might be doable with a good pad and pajamas. I would say 50F would be a more realistic rating, especially for cooler sleepers and less insulated sleeping pads. Synthetic bags are much bulkier and so not recommended for backpacking.

The zippers are sturdy, with no problems in the two years we have used them. It is terribly heavy for backpacking and definitely not rated correctly. If you just can’t afford a better bag…DO NOT GO OUT IN COLD WEATHER OR YOU WILL REGRET IT. The only way you would sleep well in this bag is if you are under 5’5″ and very slender and use it summer nights or maybe push it to early fall. I would not recommend this product to anyone unless I wanted them to freeze and get a terrible night’s sleep.
