Wearing red as a colour is very unusual, unless it is part of a prescribed military uniform. Red sportcoats are very unusual, and I have never seen an image of a man wearing a red suit. Maroon is a bit more common, although maroon suits are still unusual. But red somehow is beyond the pale as a colour for most men, unless you are a member of the military or royalty .
