Road Bikes & Race Bicycles

We build a complete bike that fits your body, riding style, and budget, a bike that is destined to become your favorite steed. The third generation of the Trek Domane carries the dual front and rear IsoSpeed technology. The rear IsoSpeed uses a top-tube mounted adjustable pivot that with just a couple of tools and 5 minutes will allow the amount of compliance to be adjusted to suit your next ride whether its road, pavé or light gravel. Its tried and tested geometry, and stiff frame and fork mean handling is great, and its clean lines and complete cable integration make it a real looker.

This feather-light racing bike delivers the speed and strength needed for any climb, race or ride. The Langma Advanced is engineered for aggressive climbing, descending and accelerations. The frame’s slender tubing creates an extremely fast and lightweight racing machine, while the downtube thickens as it approaches the PowerCore bottom bracket for pedaling stiffness strength. With Liv’s 3F Design Philosophy and cutting-edge lightweight aerodynamic innovations, Langma Advanced provides the winning advantage for every effort, from long hilly races to fast-paced criteriums.

Smoother Than Ever CAAD bikes have always been known for their surprisingly smooth ride. CAAD Optimo features a newly designed SAVE rear triangle to absorb road chatter for better comfort and control. From epic solo adventures to group road rides, Avail is light, comfortable and engineered for female riders.

In general, endurance bikes have smaller gears, meaning it’s easier to get up hills, while race bikes have larger gears for higher top-end speed. Road bike gearing has evolved considerably since those days though, and most now have two chainrings and between nine and 12 cogs– or now, even 13– in the rear. After the frame, gears are the most important thing to consider when choosing a road bike. Bike makers will often name the spec levels in a model range for the groupset fitted. The fibers give the bike strength and are embedded in a synthetic resin to hold them together.

The Specialized Allez Sprint is a high-speed cornering, criterium racing weapon. With aerodynamic D’Alusio Smartweld tubing, the sprint is supremely stiff in every way, and no watt mongoose bmx bike or steering input is sacrificed to flex. This also means you can articulate granular details about the road surface based solely on the vibrations coming up through the saddle.

The disc brakes vs. rim brakes debate is endless but, in short, discs offer superior braking in wet weather, but are heavier and slightly more hassle to maintain. The best road bike tyres will offer a combination of speed , grip, and puncture resistance. Many saddles are considered unisex, but some of the best women’s road bike saddles have features specifically tailored to female anatomy. Note that saddle preference is highly personal; there’s no universal right answer here. The best road bike saddles will be supportive while allowing sufficient blood flow in your delicate areas, and not get in the way of pedalling.
