Briar burls are cut into two types of blocks; ebauchon and plateaux. Ebauchon is taken from the heart of the burl while plateaux is taken from the outer part of the burl. While both types of blocks can produce pipes of the highest quality, most artisan pipemakers prefer to use plateaux because of their superior graining. The stem needs a long channel of constant position and diameter running through it for a proper draw, although filter pipes have varying diameters and can be successfully smoked even without filters or adapters. Because it is molded rather than carved, clay may make up the entire pipe or just the bowl; pipes made of most other materials have stems constructed separately and detachable.

Peterson pipes, made in Ireland, provide the pipe smoker with a wide selection of briar. The luxury tobacco composition that is prepared to produce these rolls of tobacco is based on high quality, carefully selected ripe Virginia tobacco, finished with some traditional cured Perique and Cavendish tobacco.

Whilst we believe the recipe is very close to a recently discontinued Navy Rolls. Calabash gourds (usually with meerschaum or porcelain bowls set inside them) have long made prized pipes, but they are labour-intensive and, today, quite expensive. Because of this expense, pipes with bodies made of wood (usually mahogany) instead Pipe Tobacco of gourd, but with the same classic shape, are sold as calabashes. Both wood and gourd pipes are functionally the same (with the important exception that the dried gourd, usually being noticeably lighter, sits more comfortably in the mouth). Virginias and our soft, cut-cake Burley Cavendish in a blend that has the mellow and nutty aroma of roasted Hazelnuts and a flavor to match. A time-intensive process where tobacco leaves are hand-rolled into thin ropes up to 60 feet long, then compressed and sliced into medallions. A broad cut of pipe tobacco, cut twice to create small squares of tobacco. The thickest cut of pipe tobacco, Broad Cut is roughly twice as wide as Loose Cut.

Also carry English mixture, Royalty, and Flake Medallions. Erinmore Flake pipe tobacco is a blend made with majority aged Virgina tobacco along with some mellow Burley and a hint of sweetened air cured tobaccos for flavour. The blend is pressed into cakes and aged before the loaf is cut into slices of tobacco and packaged in tins. The blend is a very mellow smoke with wild notes of citrus fruits.

People who inhale also increase their risk for cancers of the lung, pancreas, and bladder. This mixture is named 1992 to commemorate the inauguration year of Tor Imports. A selection of small Latakia leaves is used to impart the rich nutty flavour and aroma. Bright oriental leaf from Macedonia is added for roundness.
