Watches

If you’re looking for vibrant colors for your watch, Baby-G is always going to offer some crisp and refreshing models. Recently, Casio introduced a new collection of women’s watches that I see as being a more mature version of the popular Casio Baby-G watch family. Casio G-Shock watches have, for the most part, been entirely masculine watches — with pretty big sizes to match. The Baby-G was supposed to be the all-purpose women’s line of G-Shock timepieces when they were first introduced, but they never really got out of their cutesy, girlish outfit. That suits a lot of women well, but Casio was missing a more mature women’s watch product that was sold to people who wanted the adult G-Shock watch experience.

Somewhere along the way, people working in the watch industry have realized that people are also looking for sturdy pieces that would take excessive wear and even a free-fall. It’s the case of watches which aren’t just good looking but also can include many functions that help them a real tool for the true outdoor enthusiast out there. These g shock watch models are identical to the surfing editions, and also released in 1996. They were designed for snowboarding and skateboarding competitors and competitions. The only difference is that these models came with nylon velcro bands. On December 12, 2017, the G-Shock earned the Guinness World Record for the heaviest vehicle to drive over a watch.

G-Shock Women is the answer to this, and today I compare a newer Casio G-Shock GMDB800-4 watch with the older but similar in functionality and price Baby-G BG169G-7B. Some include Tough Solar battery charging and Multiband 6 time synchronisation through radio signals from six transmission stations worldwide. The GW-9400 Rangeman and GWN-1000 Gulfmaster models have a Triple Sensor with a digital compass, thermometer, and barometer/altimeter. The MTG-S1000, GW-A1000, and GPW-1000 feature Triple G Resist which includes resistance to shock, centrifugal gravity, and vibration. Besides the difference in size and design, both the Baby-G BA110-7ACR and the G-Shock GA110 provide near-identical performance.

In 1994, Casio expanded the popular G-Shock line into models fitted for women and teens. Called the Baby-G collection, this line is today a major part of Casio’s watch strategy. G-Shocks typically come with 200m water resistance, which means you can take them swimming or diving. Whereas Baby-G watches are typically only rated to 100m , so you can swim with them, but have to be careful beyond that. Both the Casio G-Shock and the Baby-G watches are very popular options. They have been around for a very long time, and Casio has continued to add to their list of variations, features and options for both.

By pressing the button in the middle of the bottom of the watch when any of the time display digits are flashing. Press the bottom right-hand button until the correct second time is displayed. Once the correct time is displayed, press the bottom left-hand button g shock protection and the digits will stop flashing. They’ve been slowly creeping their way back, subtly but surely, ever since. In 2009, to celebrate the brand’s 25th anniversary, Casio threw an epic party with stars like Kanye West sporting the newest G-Shock watches.
