The creative concept explores a fragrance capable of making any woman happy and everything was thought to convey that effect, including the bottle. Its project was started in 1949 by Armand Petitjean, founder of Lancôme, and represents a crystal smile. It took more than a year for the effect to be achieved, creating the impression of a smile. So for some reason, this particular note then, in a few perfumes, doesn’t take completely over every other note. It is my favorite daily scent, not that complicated perfect for work and casual events. I had 3 years ago and got it recently 100 ml for 125 CAD.
The drydown doesn’t make me crazy, it is a bit too sweet and I am not super fan neither of tonka nor of patchouli. But, likely, they are not overwhelming. All in all, I’d never buy a bottle for myself, but I can tollerate it on the others, there are way more unpleasant Estee Lauder NIGHT REPAIR and molest fragrance on the market. It seems patchouli haters often don’t like this fragrance. I find this is more the sweeter fresher smelling patchouli rather than the earthy, dirty, dank patchouli. The vanilla, praline and florals make this sweet and creamy.

Just a scroll through the reviews reveals a pretty even split between love and hate, so your dislike is not an exception by any means lol. We’ve all got big camps with LVEB in that regard. Now that I’m more into perfumes, I see that it was/is extremely popular and now deemed overhyped and generic.
