Why I loved it, is something I haven’t quite yet figured out. Sometimes, I just need to get somewhere fast, other times, I just want to breathe some fresh air. I had forgot how much nicer these older inexpensive thumb shifters are compared to the inexpensive twist shifters of today. After a good cleaning I might take a couple of pics since it looks like it will cleanup very nice. But service work to all the bearings and such needs to come first. It’s constructed from durable steel and comes with a reliable suspension fork that allows you to smoothly beat obstacles on the way, no matter the terrain.
There are some complaints about how it has components that are easily prone to wear. It is surprising how many older bikes that are out there that have been ridden very little. This one has seen some riding but it was fairly well taken care huffy mountain bike of. This bike is the only complete bike purchase I’ve made this year. The Tomac Signature, Mongoose’s first model of mountain bike, was released in 1987. Huffy Extent has wide, knobby tires that offer excellent grip and a suspension fork that improves comfort. You also get 18 speeds with Shimano components that shift reliably. The entire process of installation is very simple besides the front brakes. They can be a little tricky, but you’ll get them assembled in no time if you follow the product manual carefully.
It also features a Shimano derailleur which is perfect for going up and downhill as well as navigating through rough single tracks. The rugged tires also make it easy to reach speeds schwinn bicycles of up to 18 speeds, come rain or shine, and the smooth pedals make for a very comfortable ride. I used to ride it on deer trails through the woods (now that’s real singletrack).
