When using the battery for the first time, connect to the battery charger for approximately one minute to activate the battery. The left stick is used to control yaw and throttle. Pushing the left stick up will make the drone take-off.

I don’t think everyone that operates these drones may think like you. If one of these little buggers takes down a plane watch out. This sounds like the perfect device for me, a beginner, and frankly I’m thankful for the geofencing so as to ensure that regardless of who is operating the drone, they can’t do stupid things that endanger others. I’d be careful flying this drone around any people or property until this is resolved. Only drone I’ve ever flown and it is dead easy to fly and use. Unless you are flying recklessly or aren’t competent it would be hard to crash it.
You have to watch carefully when flying the Mini, good advice even for a drone costing several times as much with obstacle avoidance. If you’re like me, and read just enough to take it off, it could be costly. You have to register it with DJI within a set time of the first time you activate it, in order to qualify for phantom 4 crash insurance. You have a second chance if you photograph it from all sides and submit a continuous video flying a designated pattern. Which means a very significant loss of image quality. The only minor snag I encountered is that the gimbal would sometimes flip back up slightly if I pointed it straight down.
However, DJI has delivered its promised firmware update a month early, which arrives alongside an update DJI Fly app. As the screenshot below shows, the Mavic 3 now supports FocusTrack, HyperLapse and MasterShots, among other changes. Also, make sure to double-check which app you need before downloading, as not all the apps are compatible with all the drones! I just bought an ONN Tablet 8″ Gen 2 from Walmart for $70. I had to download the Fly app from DJI’s site as it’s not in the play store, but I just did my first test flight with my Mavic Air 2, and everything worked well! I just need to get the tablet adapter for the remote now.

Now I think that for the price I paid a smart controller should come with each dji drone.
