The older Philips Norelco Shaver shavers come in a straight design that feels like the highest-end Braun Series 9. But the new generation Series 5 shavers come in an irregular shape. The shape has been engineered for making the device lightweight and user-friendly. But most of the users still find the older shape more comfortable. However, the new design fits in grasp more accurately since it’s slimmer and lighter than the older ones. Braun used innovative slim and SmartClick technology in the new generation of shavers and consequently, the Braun 5018s comes with a SmartClick trimmer.
I’m used to the 5 series shaver and although this is a 5 according to Braun, it’s more like a 5a type. Lastly, it cleans by only tapping the head to shake out the cuttings and then brushing the rest away. Only minus is you have to change the head to attach a trimmer blade- it doesn’t pop up as on the 5 series shaver.

Just make sure the cassette is completely dry before applying the lubricant. But the truth is that it would have taken me less time to simply remove the cassette and give it a thorough rinse . And I was really thorough with it and Remington Shaver spent quite a bit of time doing it. There’s a cutout below the shaving unit covered by two rubber flaps. And that’s a bit odd since all of them are actually compatible with the stations shipped with the 2020 Series 7 and 6 .

As said, these models essentially have the same shaver which incorporates the same motor and same shaving head. Therefore, Remington Shaver there is no difference in the shaving performance of these shavers. In terms of comfort, Braun shavers are arguably better than any other foil shavers and so is the case with 5050Cs. Its head remains perfectly cool during the shave and you won’t feel any extensive yanking on the hair or skin.
