Personally, I think if the bike is utilizing a sophisticated magnetic resistance system then flywheel weight is less important. Flywheel weights can vary anywhere from 8 lb to 50 lb and more expensive models tend to have heavier flywheels. Although this isn’t always the case- the famous Keiser M3i, considered by most to be one of the top spin bikes in the world, only uses an 8 lb flywheel.
