This machine is meant to be small and compact and to be used for single cups of hot coffee.

The K-Mini is Keurig’s smallest, yet still quite mighty model, and if you’re a coffee lover living in a small space, it might be exactly Hamilton Beach the Keurig you’re looking for. At less than 5 inches wide, the K-Mini fits just about anywhere, and its sleek design elevates your kitchen’s decor. This is the ideal Keurig for people living alone or for households with only one coffee drinker. I’ll admit to being torn about whether I like the Keurigs or not.
Before we get into the nitty-gritty specifics of this review, we’ll go through a few of the pros and cons of this coffee machine. Other than these three points the two units are identical. Most importantly the inner workings of the two machines are 100% identical so they should have the same expected lifespan and should make the same exact tasting coffees. The older machines have been mostly discontinued due to poor performance, product durability, and customer’s distaste for the super short cup clearance.
The Sboly is comparable to the K Mini Plus in size, and it actually weighs less. It has both plastic and stainless steel elements with a black and silver design that suits most kitchens. The one-button operation makes it as easy to use as the K Mini, with separate buttons for ground coffee and K-Cups. When you press both buttons at once, it initiates the self-cleaning cycle. Overall, we do think Keurig stamped the price tag a bit too high on this one.
It’s the smallest of all the Keurig coffee makers, measuring just 4.5 inches wide by 11.3 inches tall by 12.1 inches deep. Tiny spaces like apartment kitchens, RVs, dorm rooms, offices – you name it. There is one thing that makes this brewer different from other Keurig® models; there is no water reservoir. Before you scoff at that notion keep in mind, that means fresh water for each cup of coffee. This happens to be the only reason I prefer this unit. Not only does water not sit in the unit all week while I am hard at work in the real world, but winter storage is also a non-factor.
It’s new and widely available but personally I like the shorter style of the K15 over the skinnier/taller style of the modern K-Mini and K-mini Plus. The old Keurig models B31 Hamilton Beach and K10 were replaced after a recall was announced in late 2014. For me the storage compartment is annoying but I know full well a lot of people will like this added perk.
