All seams are taped to prevent any leakage at stitch points. Should rain come down anything much beyond vertical, it’s likely to blow right past the overhangs and soak the front or back of the tent. These areas are seemingly solid and served us well during testing, but we did read reports of leaky seams in other online reviews.
