Three Shades Of Casioak

Fast forward to today, and the GA2100 line hits the scene — the timeless spirit of toughness those two epoch-making models, fused with cutting-edge technologies to create timepieces like nothing you’ve ever seen before. The developers pursued a thinner design while still satisfying the original G-SHOCK criteria for shock resistance. They strengthened the external structure and slimmed the module, achieving wafer-thin at just 11.8mm.

If you are a seasoned G-Shock wearer then these watches will surprise you. They are noticeably slim and light-generating the immediate question of whether they can maintain the shock-resistant g shock watch characteristics synonymous with the brand. The 45mm GA is 11.8mm high and the smaller GMA is a mere 11.2mm high. In practical terms, this means that you really do not know you have them on.

I don’t think we’ve seen the last of this model. I have small hands and a relatively narrow 6.5” wrist – not the best place to put a large, chunky watch. And then the G-SHOCK GA-2100 series caught my eye – and fit my wrist. Thanks to its Carbon Core Guard architecture, the GA-2100 is the thinnest analog-digital G-SHOCK’s ever made. Well, it was until sales of the “Casioak” went nuts . Look, I’m not saying you can pair this with “black tie” and come off looking clever.

Adjust the position of the day hand using the B and D buttons and finish the process pressing the A btn. As a genuine G-Shock enthusiast and purist I really struggle to like the CasiOaks. baby g shock For me, they are nothing more than a water-resistant digital watch that has appropriated an iconic brand name but fails to deliver on many of the expected technical characteristics.

G-SHOCK watches stand out not just with their tough design, but also with their technical refinements. From environmentally friendly solar technology and Bluetooth® through to GPS and radio technology — G-SHOCK always features state-of-the-art technology. What I understood from reading the whole paragraph(“Impact”) in the manual is that the manual is a general guide of how to operating watches with this movement, instead of exclusively g shock watch for this G-shock model(GA-2100). So, there is an additional sentence to state that the shock-resistant watch models(G-SHOCK, BABY-G, G-MS) with this movement do have the ability to survive from much stronger impacts. Do not misunderstand me, I can see how this range makes complete commercial sense to Casio. They have a hugely successful brand and why not expand it, perhaps to cover other equipment such as backpacks or sunglasses.

The LCD is extremely tiny, and individuals with vision problems or aging eyes may find it worthless. This was no design merely pursuing simplicity. The designers’ intent inspires the GA-2100 down to the finest details, like dimensional dial and index. The monochromatic color scheme features an optimized combination of hues hand-selected from a range of color charts. The first GA-2100 watch was introduced in 2019, expanding the possibilities of toughness and analog style.
