This soup will definitely be a staple in our house this winter. It is low in calories, really good for you (think beta-carotene) and very tasty. If you love cooking different types of fresh soup but hate mess and fuss, the Soup Maker is a great all-in-one solution that earns cuisinart soup maker its place in your kitchen. When I do get a chance to make soup, I always make a giant mess. Having experienced first hand how easy and fun it was to make delicious soup from scratch with this blender, I couldn’t wait to bring mine home. In particular, I love creamy soups but have rarely made them. I just found the whole process a little intimidating and hated cleaning up the pots and pans and hand blender afterward. You get what you pay for, the Morphy Richards Soup Maker is really cheap compared to the Cuisinart Soup Maker. The Cuisinart Soup Maker had a much better blender and a capacity to bulk cook soup. My favourite ever recipe with the soup maker has to be my homemade tomato sauce. I used to go through a lot of pans and a lot of washing up to make it before.

Place the motor base of your blender on a flat, stur- dy surface. It is important that the surface be clean and dry. Assemble the blender by following the Assembly instructions. We were told that we would add our ingredients into the blender, cook them and then blend them into a creamy soup. I’m not sure how long we had for the challenge, but I believe it was all completed within an hour, including the time required to chop the vegetables. We were let down by the appliances’ ability to retain a good, hot temperature after the dish had been plated up.

This means that if you have foods that are quite chunky like carrots, that it can take a while to blend and sometimes feels like an effort. Overall, I’m definitely pleased with the Cuisinart Blend & Cook Soup and Beverage Maker. I’m sure I will continue to use it to make healthy vegetable soups, and I plan to try some of the other recipes included in the recipe booklet. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone wanting an easy way to make homemade creamy soups. Once the mixture comes to a boil, or the time expires, stir to mix for about 15 seconds. Set timer for 30 minutes and temperature on Medium, stirring occasionally during the cooking process.
